Liilo. It stands for love, intention, and a lot of effort. Everything we do is rooted in empathy—for the people who make our clothes and those who wear them.
Liilo is about building with kindness and creating with soul.
When was it founded, and what inspired its beginning?Founded in 2023, born out of a desire to build not just more beautiful garments, but a thoughtful fashion ecosystem that respects people and craft.
What makes your brand uniquely Indian? We’re proudly rooted in Panipat, known for its textile legacy. What makes us uniquely Indian is our connection to the people who make every piece — reflecting India’s diversity, emotion, and warmth.
Liilo was founded by me, Apoorva Dudeja, and my brother Aman. I’m a designer, he’s an engineer — together, we balance creativity and structure.
What’s your background?I graduated in 2022 in design, and wanted to build something more respectful and empathetic than what I saw in the industry.
What inspired you to start this brand? We were driven by the desire to create a better system for our tailors and karigars — a space where creativity and care go hand in hand.
Do you have a personal connection to the craft or region?Yes — Panipat's textile history and childhood visits to fabric stores with my grandmother deeply influenced me.
A small but mighty team — tailors, masters, embroiderers — everyone contributes ideas, shares meals, and grows together like family.
Do you work with artisans or karigars?Yes — in-house tailors, local karigars, and trusted vendors for embroidery and handwork in Panipat.
Anyone you'd like to highlight? My brother Aman — co-founder and backbone. Also, our parents and friends who’ve supported every step of this journey.
Cottons, organzas, and muls with delicate hand embroidery, scallops, and layering — designed to breathe and move.
What’s the story behind the craft? We focus on slow, wearable pieces that honor Indian craftsmanship and detail without being bound by tradition.
Are materials locally sourced?Yes — mostly from Delhi and Haryana. Always prioritizing natural fabrics and trusted Indian vendors.
We follow a made-to-order model to minimize waste, and offer repair and upcycling services for long-lasting garments.
How do you approach production? Each piece is made only after an order is placed, allowing us to reduce waste and ensure intention behind every stitch.
Soft, thoughtful, and detailed — every piece is elegant, lightweight, and crafted with emotion.
Who is your ideal customer?Someone joyful and feminine who values beauty in simplicity and emotion in clothing.
How do you balance tradition and modernity? We reimagine traditional elements through a contemporary lens — minimal, fresh, and globally wearable.
It means pride in our people and their stories. Our brand is shaped by empathy, and our India is warm, diverse, and inclusive.
What traditions or experiences influence your work?Markets, crafts, and stories from across India — those everyday moments shape our design ethos.
To build a globally loved brand rooted in kindness, growing slowly and meaningfully with a like-minded community.
Any exciting plans? We’re opening our first store in Panipat, and launching new collections that combine structure with the softness of Liilo.
